BENGKULU - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Central Bengkulu District Attorney demanded the former Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Fort EH for one year and two months in prison and a fine of Rp. 50 million, subsidiary to three months in prison for corruption cases.Apart from EH, two other defendants, namely DR, former PPTK, one year and five months and HH, the President Director of PT PBI, were charged with one year and two months in prison, the same as the defendant EH and added to paying compensation of Rp272 million."The three defendants were declared legally proven to have violated Article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of corruption," said Central Bengkulu Prosecutor's Prosecutor's Office in Bengkulu City, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 24.The charges against the defendant DR were higher because he played an active role in the preparation of the RDTR fort in 2013, resulting in state financial losses of Rp272 million rupiah.Meanwhile, the attorney for the defendant DR, Ranggi, was disappointed with the prosecutor's demands against his client who was sentenced to a higher level."We feel disappointed and will present our defense at the next trial," he said.The three suspects are suspected of being under Article 2 subsidiary to Article 3 of the Corruption Crime Law and the three are currently still in Bengkulu City Class II A Prison.It is known, in 2013 the Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda) of Central Bengkulu Regency budgeted for the RDTR activities of the Central Bengkulu Regency Border Area with Bengkulu City with a contract value of Rp311.9 million.The contract work was carried out for 120 days by PT BPI and in the RDTR border area of Central Bengkulu Regency with Bengkulu City in 2013 suspect DR assisted suspect EH in compiling HPS that was not in accordance with the provisions.Then the preparation of the Self Estimated Price (HPS) was known to the suspect EH and was approved so that in the preparation of the RDTR the suspect HH as the Director of PT BPI was declared the winner of the tender.Based on the calculation of state financial losses by auditors from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the three of them have caused state financial losses of Rp272.2 million.
