JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has named the driver of the luxury Mercedes Benz SL with the initials MPS who crashed into 16 motorbikes on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, South Jakarta, as a suspect.
MPS was proven to have violated Article 310 (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2009 concerning LLAJ for an accident that occurred on Saturday, December 5 evening.
"As a result of the accident, the vehicle that was hit was damaged, while the owner of the Yamaha Mio vehicle with the initials NOV was injured," said Head of Sub-Directorate Bin Gakkum, Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Fahri Siregar in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Sunday, December 6.
The exact position of the incident was on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman towards the south in front of the PT Asuransi MSIG Indonesia Building for the South Jakarta Region on Saturday, December 5 evening.
The car driven by the MPS drove on the second lane from the north to the south.
Allegedly due to rainy conditions and unable to control the situation, the vehicle swerved to the left and hit 16 motorbikes in front of it. "At that time, motorbikes were parked," said Fahri.
