Santiago Solari Back To Real Madrid As Director Of Valdebebasis
JAKARTA - A few weeks ago, Marca reported on the start of talks for the return of Santiago Solari to Real Madrid. Now, the deal has been reached.
In the coming weeks, Solari will return to Los Blancos as director of Valdebebas. His last professional experience was as the America of Mexico coach, the position he left last March.
His biggest achievement was reaching the CONCACAF Champions League final, losing to Monterrey.
Solori has always been considered a club man and is fully ready to take any position. As a player who joined from Atletico Madrid, he then moved to Inter Milan, San Lorenzo, Atlante and Penarol.
He started his coaching career with Real Madrid shirt team and took to the first team bench in 2018, at a complicated time.
Replacing Julen Lopetegui, he left the post for Zinedine Zidane's return, who resigned after winning the Champions League in the final at Kyiv.
After leaving the head coach position of the first team, Solari remains associated with the club as ambassador and has always had close ties to the board of management.
Now he is back with the task of managing Valdebebas. Sports decisions will still be made by Manu Fernandez and his team, but Solari will be there to help in whatever way is needed.
He will be a consultant at all levels of his position as a total and absolute confident person.
In addition, Florentino Perez and the directors have also decided to make a bit of adjustments to the club's executive area. If nothing changes, Jose Luis Ruiz Exposito will be one of the club's top management.
Exposito is a partner in Ernst & Young who knows the ins and outs of football club management. In fact, as an external auditor, he has audited Real Madrid accounts and other Spanish teams such as Valencia, Sevilla, Betis, Malaga, Eibar, and Barcelona.
