Investigate The Fire Of The Jakarta Islamic Center Mosque, 8 Witnesses Checked

JAKARTA - Police are still investigating the fire case against the Jakarta Islamic Center (JIC) mosque, Koja, North Jakarta. Eight witnesses have been examined to uncover the fire case.

"Eight witnesses have been examined from workers and administrators of the JIC Mosque," said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Wibowo when contacted, Sunday, October 22.

Based on the results of the statements of the witnesses examined, Wibowo confirmed that the cause of the temporary fire did not come from cigarette ash, but sparks when renovating the dome of the mosque.

"Nothing, it was purely because there was a welding spark hit by a ceiling ethernis," he said.

He also said that at this time his party had not determined the suspect in the fire case. Because they are still waiting for the results from the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters.

"We are still waiting for the lab results first while waiting for the examination of other witnesses, we have not determined who the suspects are," he concluded.
