JAKARTA - The Surabaya City Health Office (Dinkes), East Java, issued a Circular (SE) Number: 443.33/34928/436.7.2/2022 concerning Early Vigilance of acute kidney failure in children.

"Through the SE, health care facilities (fasyankes), and the general public are asked to take steps for early vigilance against drugs in the form of liquid/sirp preparations," said Head of the Surabaya City Health Office, Nanik Sukristina, quoted from Antara, Sunday.

This is an effort made by the Surabaya Health Office in responding to the Atypical Acute failed kidney disease (GGAPA) aimed at all Transmigencies throughout the city of Surabaya, the Professional Organization in the Health Sector (IDI, IDAI, IBI, IAI, PPNI, PERSI, ASKLIN, and PKFI).

"Health workers at health facilities have temporarily not prescribed drugs in the form of liquid/ruption preparations until an official announcement from the government is made in accordance with the provisions of the legislation," said Nanik.

Nanik explained that all pharmacies did not temporarily sell free and/or free drugs in the form ofrah to the public until an official announcement was made from the government in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

Meanwhile, people or parents who have children (especially those aged < 6 years) temporarily do not consume drugs that are obtained freely without the recommendation of competent health workers until an official announcement from the Government is made in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

Therefore, Nanik explained, vigilance is needed in the safe use of drugs and always paying attention to things such as using drugs properly and not exceeding the rules of use.

Also, read carefully the warning in packaging, and avoid the use of the remaining mild drugs that have been exposed and stored for a long time.

"Conducting guidance, supervision and control (Binwasdal) to Pharmacies/Drug stores to ensure that they have followed up according to the direction of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the SE Health Office," he said.

This is because until now the Surabaya City Health Office continues to disseminate information through social media and strengthening KIE to the community to increase early vigilance and prevention efforts against GGAPA in children, especially the age of <6 years by implementing anticipatory steps as stated in the SE Health Office.

"Conducting routine monitoring and evaluation of all health facilities related to reports of GGAPA suspects/suspected findings in the community," said Nanik.
