Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture, Jamin, Victims Of Landslides In Bogor Are Handled Properly, Invite 4 Ministries Of Direct Review
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy together with representatives of four ministries under him reviewed the location of the landslide disaster in Gang Barjo, Kebon Jahe Village, Central Bogor to ensure that the disaster was handled properly.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy at the Jami Nurul Ikhlas Mosque, Jalan Veteran, said coordination between ministries in disaster management was carried out directly at the location point in order to see firsthand his condition.
"If in a disaster situation like this, there is the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, BNPB also participates, then for the matter of infrastructure there is the Ministry of PUPR and this is all complete and the coordination is not on the table, but in the field, we will distribute (the task) earlier so that it is finished. Hopefully under the command of the Mayor everything will be finished quickly," he said.
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture visited the landslide location in Gang Barjo, Kebon Kelapa Bogor, at 11.00 WIB. About 15 minutes at the landslide location, which had been flooded with water for several days due to being flanked by the Cisadane and Cidepit rivers.
The landslide, which occurred on Wednesday (12/10) afternoon, resulted in eight deaths consisting of four people and four survivors.
Head of BPBD Bogor City Theofilo Patrocinio Freitas had said that the evacuation process for the SAR team took five days because the landslide material was in the form of large and hard soil and rocks. In addition, puddles of water that did not recede for three days due to moderate to heavy rain have continued to pour since the incident, making the location also vulnerable to the evacuation team.
Muhadjir Effendy said that after several floods and landslides were mapped by the Bogor City Government on the evacuation walls, and went directly to the landslide location of Gang Barjo, Kebon Kelapa, it could be concluded that the location had to be engineered.
During his review, Muhadjir greeted residents around the landslide location and those in the evacuation and encouraged them.
Muhadjir said some residents had to be relocated because they were in vulnerable areas around the landslide location. The Bogor City Government, he said, had prepared land for relocation that could be used with financing, which would be regulated through the city government, West Java Province and the center through the Ministry of PUPR.
Then for displaced residents, they will receive assistance of Rp. 500 thousand to rent temporary housing. In addition, the costs during the evacuation will be borne by the city government, the West Java Provincial government and the central government.
Meanwhile, for the families of four victims who died in landslides in Gang Barjo, Kebon Kelapa Bogor, there was also assistance from the central and regional governments.
Muhadjir stated that the central government will assist the Bogor City Government during its disaster emergency alert status until December 2022.
"As long as it (disaster emergency alert) the central government will help provide assistance," he said.*
