The Duren Sawit Police Came To The Street Vendor Who Claimed To Have Been Convicted Of Being A Busker

JAKARTA - The Duren Sawit Sector Police (Polsek), East Jakarta followed up on reports of alleged burglary of street vendors (PKL) by buskers on Jalan Sawah Barat, East Flood Canal (KBT).

The Head of Duren Sawit Police, Kompol Martson Marbun, said that his party had visited the location of the alleged burglary by the busker at the KBT.

"After direct inspection of several fish and food traders, there are indeed buskers, but no buskers commit coercion," he said.

Marbun added that his party previously received information that there were buskers who forced them to ask traders and consumers at the location for money.

He said that in the future his party would increase patrols by deploying Bhayangkara Trustees of Community Security and Order (Bhabinkamtibmas) in the KBT area.

He also asked the public not to hesitate to report to the police if they found disturbances in security and order in their environment.

"We will increase the Bhabinkamtibmas patrol and will always be responsive to public complaints. Please report to the Duren Sawit Police or the 'hotline' of the 110 Police," said Marbun.

Previously, a resident through social media reported an alleged burglary to street vendors by buskers at KBT.

The resident also wrote that the buskers bullied street vendors who made a living and asked the police to act.

"At BKT Duren Sawit, many street singers asked for money by forcing clashes with traders. The busker carried out the article on bullying street vendors who made a living. I hope that the Criminal Investigation Unit will act quickly," the resident wrote in his report.
