Erick Thohir Hopes That BUMN Hospital Holding Will Be Completed This Year
JAKARTA - State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Erick Thohir hopes that the BUMN subsidiary hospital holding will be completed by June 2020. This effort is made to make the performance of BUMNs operating in hospital businesses more effective.
"With us holding the hospital, Insya Allah, this June, we will have a chance to have a strategic partner from Japan, where the country needs 350 thousand sisters," said Erick in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Erick said that his party held a hospital holding because SOEs that focused on their core business also built hospitals so that the hospital did not provide good service.
"Because we are partnering with Japan, under the holding hospital there must be a school for nurses or added value for health services," he said.
According to Erick, the nuns were trained in Japanese language and culture so that when they partnered, access for 350 thousand sisters could also be for Indonesia.
"The development of employment in the future is not only in Indonesia, but we also have to open outsource to other countries," said Erick.
This was conveyed by BUMN Minister Erick Thohir at a public lecture held in Jakarta. In the event, Erick conveyed the five priorities of the Ministry of BUMN in the next five years, then mapping or mapping BUMN business and public services, synergies and a healthy business ecosystem between BUMN to private, to international strategic cooperation with SOEs that bring added value or value added.
Previously, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir said that he would combine all BUMN subsidiary hospitals into a holding in order to improve SOE hospital services to become prominent and trusted by the public.
Erick said that the plan to form a hospital holding company would be a good consolidation and a business that could be progressive and competitive. According to Erick, the hospitals that are members of the holding will have their human resources services and expertise upgraded.
The health industry in Indonesia, he continued, is not yet trusted, so the quality must be improved. BUMN hospitals can be upgraded to become trustworthy and reputable hospitals.
