Banten Police Chief Asks The Public To Update Information On Types And Brands Of Sirop Drugs That Are Withdrawn By Circulation
SERANG - Banten Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto asked the public to obey and update information or appeals made by the government regarding sirop-shaped drugs for children.
Rudy said the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) had suggested that people avoid using sirop drugs for children because they are suspected of containing Dietilen Glikol (DEG) and Etylene Glikol (EG).

"Currently, 206 children have acute kidney failure and 99 have died," he said.
Rudy said the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) had withdrawn five sirop paracetamol brands from circulation. Thus, the public must know which brands should be avoided.
