Argentine Journalist Crying After His Dream Of Interviewing Lionel Messi Becomes A Real

JAKARTA - An Argentine journalist named Pablo Girat was unable to hold back tears after his dream to interview superstar Lionel Messi finally came true.

Giralt, who works for DirecTV, was given the opportunity to interview one of the greatest footballers of all time this week. The opportunity was accepted with gratitude.

While chatting with the former Barcelona player regarding Argentina's chances at the Qatar 2022 World Cup later this year, an emotional Girat was seen crying. The moment was recorded and shared by the Twitter account @AlbiklesteTalk.

"I've dreamed of interviewing you my whole life, but I never thought I would be lucky enough to be able to accompany you with my story, with my love. I thank you wholeheartedly," said Girat.

Hearing that comment, Messi also seemed to show a surprising expression. La Pulga then leaned on the sofa and smiled before finally entertaining Girat by touching his hand.

"Thank you very much. There are many people in Argentina or in the world in general who have always supported me, admired me, from football and from me as a person. I am grateful for the love I got," Messi replied a few seconds after.

The video clip suddenly became a conversation on social media. The majority of comments praised Messi's very humble attitude in entertaining Girat back.

"I will also cry if I am in front of the best player who has played football," wrote one account.

Messi will try to win the World Cup in his fifth venture with Argentina. The 35-year-old almost won the competition in 2014 in Brazil, but lost to Germany in the final.
