African Account For Children, Tangerang City Health Office Asks People Not Panic
TANGERANG - The Tangerang City Health Office (Dinkes) appealed to parents not to panic excessively regarding the rampant disease of acute kidney failure in children. Head of the Health Service, Dr. Dini Anggraeni, asked parents to improve a clean lifestyle and provide adequate nutrition for children.
"For all parents, there is no need to panic, but vigilance must be tightened. Such as increasing a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS) and adequate nutritional intake," said Dini in her statement, Friday, October 21.
Dini also asked parents who have children aged 1-6 years if they experience a decrease in urine frequency, so that they are immediately referred to health facilities. He advised not to provide drugs freely without the recommendation of health workers.
"Parents temporarily do not provide freely obtained drugs without the recommendation of competent health workers," he concluded.
Previously, it was reported that the Tangerang City Health Office (Dinkes) was following up on the instructions of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) regarding the prohibition of health facilities such as pharmacies and drug stores from selling liquid-shaped drugs.
Dini said, there were 298 pharmacies and 44 drug stores that were stopped by the sale of mild cough medicine. This is done to prevent an increase in cases of acute kidney failure in children.
