Allegedly Tumpang Tindih Licensing, Director Of Land For BP Batam Examined By The Riau Islands Prosecutor's Office

The Riau Islands High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) conducted an examination of the Director of the Batam Concession Agency (BP) Ilham Eka Hartawan regarding the alleged overlap in land licensing in Batam City.

Head of the Legal Information Section of the Riau Islands Prosecutor's Office, Nixon Andreas Lubis, said that the examination of Ilham was following up on reports from the public regarding alleged violations of the law.

Apart from Ilham, the Riau Islands Attorney General's Office of the Land Mafia Task Force also examined one of the Heads of the Division (Kabid) at the Batam Marine Service, and the private sector.

"Only three people have been examined, there are ASN (state civil servants) and private companies," said Nixon in Batam, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 20.

Separately, the Head of BP Batam Muhammad Rudi when confirmed admitted that he was not aware of any summons to his subordinates at the Riau Islands Attorney General's Office.

This was only discovered after an inspection was carried out by the Tanah Kejati Kepri Mafia Task Force yesterday. "It's just a routine activity, I just found out verbally," he added.

However, regarding the reason why his subordinates were questioned by the Riau Islands Prosecutor's Office, Rudi said that he had not been informed.

"Regarding the topic of the summons, I also don't know for sure," he said.
