Hutama Karya: The Number Of Vehicles Crossing The Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road Is Still Far From Target
PT Hutama Karya (Persero) said that the Sigli-Banda Aceh (Sibanceh) toll road segment is still being passed by around 1,700 four-wheeled vehicles per day, and is still far from the business planning target of 4,198 vehicles per day."The business plan is still far away, our daily target is 4,198 vehicles, while the current realization is between 1,600-1,700 vehicles," said Branch Manager of the Sibanceh Toll Road, PT Hutama Karya Jarot Seno Wibawa, in Aceh Besar District, quoted from Antara, Friday, October 21.He explained that currently there are three of the total six Sibanceh toll sections that have been operating, namely section 2 Seulimeum – Jantho with a length of 6.35 km, Section 3 Jantho – Indrapuri 16 km, and Section 4 Indrapuri &nash; Blang Bintang 14 km.“ Angka Traffic is quite increased as an effect of opening section 2 of Seulimeum-Jantho, as from a close enough traffic, so users are quite interested in getting in, feeling better shortened (distance time) when entering the toll road,” said Jarot.PT Hutama Karya as the developer and manager of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) for the Sibanceh section is committed to continuing to accelerate the completion of development so that it can be fully connected to the total later it will spread along 74.2 km.Meanwhile, the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) asked the Aceh Government to help encourage economic revival around toll roads so that it could increase the volume of significant vehicle traffic for the Sibanceh toll road."This Sibanceh toll efficiency must be properly maintained, both by the local government and the community, because this is a matter of pride for Aceh," said YLKI Chairman Tulus Abadi. He said that currently the traffic volume of Sibanceh toll road users is still very low. Sibanceh toll road revenue is only a maximum of around Rp. 70 million per day."This is certainly very minimal with the investment and operational costs incurred," said Tulus.Because, he said, the lifeblood of the toll road is the volume of traffic. Of course, this is a challenge for all toll roads in Indonesia outside Java, both in Manado, Sulawesi, Kalimantan and also Sumatra.“ I think the central government has built this toll road very expensively. Because it must be utilized as well as possible, so that betu can really develop the micro economy to encourage the economic empowerment of the community,” he said.
