Haas Can Save Daniel Ricciardo's Career In Formula 1
JAKARTA - Daniel Ricciardo has resigned himself to his future in Formula 1 (F1). Currently, he has not yet got a new team for the 2023 season.
As is known, Ricciardo's contract at McLaren was not extended. Meanwhile, the vacant seats for F1 2023 are increasingly limited.
Currently, only Williams has not completed the composition of their riders for next season. However, Ricciardo is not a candidate on their radar.
However, good news is visiting the Australian racer. Ricciardo was able to continue his career in F1 by joining Haas.
Haas reportedly opened the door for the former Red Bull star. He could fill Mick Schumacher's position who was likely to leave the team.
Haas' head team Guenther Steiner is considering Ricciardo as his successor. Steiner told AP, "If he's interested in us, he doesn't have to be shy about calling me."
Steiner said he didn't want to catch up with Ricciardo. "I want him to decide what he wants to do for himself," Steiner said.
"I think he's a good driver and I don't know how he's in the current situation, but I think he needs to be honest with himself and decide what he's going to do."
Steiner did not deny that signing Ricciardo would be a big step for his team. The opportunity is very open because Ricciardo has no job for next season.
