Moving 'customs' From PAN To Golkar, Wanda Hamidah: May Be My Last Port
JAKARTA - Wanda Hamidah officially became a cadre of the Golkar Party to coincide with the series of events for the party's 58th Anniversary.
"I returned to politics and was part of the party for a very long time. I decided to join the Golkar Party," Wanda said at Hall C, Jiexpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 20.
Wanda said that she had received the offer to become a cadre of the Golkar Party several months ago. He finally decided to accept the proposal of the Golkar Party, because he felt the right means for him to participate in politics.
"I make political efforts by considering one by one the parties in Indonesia, it seems that currently Golkar is the right party, the right forum, for me to fight and work," he also said as quoted by Antara.
He then said, "Hopefully this will be my last port".
Wanda said that she joined the Golkar Party not because of conflicts with the previous party, but nothing more than the dynamic political nature. He also admitted that he was still in good relations with the previous leaders of his political parties.
"Everything I have maintained a very good relationship until now with Bang Zul (Zulkifli Hasan), after all I cannot be separated from PAN, yes. Our relationship is very good," he also said.
He hopes that the Golkar Party at the age of 58 can be at the forefront of Indonesian democracy in order to fight for the interests of the people as the essence of the political party itself.
"The political party gave birth to representatives of the people, hopefully it will really become a mouthpiece for the people, a funnel for the people, a funnel for those who can't speak up because they don't have power. And it must be remembered that power comes from them, from the people," said Wanda.
It is known that before joining the Golkar Party, Wanda had joined the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the NasDem Party.
