Head of the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Rismasari, said the number of cases of acute kidney failure or Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) in Central Jakarta was recorded at only 2 cases.

"There are 2 cases of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) in Central Jakarta. 1 man aged 14 months, has recovered. 1 woman aged 15, is still being treated. No one died," he told reporters, Thursday, October 20.

He ensured that until now, none of Central Jakarta residents had died as a result of the mysterious acute kidney failure case. Indeed, he admitted that the most deaths were recorded at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) Central Jakarta.

"The most deaths are indeed in RSCM but this case is not a case originating from Central Jakarta. This comes from all over DKI and outside DKI who refer to RSCM," he said.

He added that the number of cases of acute kidney failure in Central Jakarta does not always mean that the case appears in Central Jakarta.

"Please pay attention to the number of cases originating from Central Jakarta will be different from the number of cases in Central Jakarta," he said.

According to him, the ranks of the DKI Health Office have made preparations for the AKI. The preparations include socializing and educating the public about AKI, conducting epidemiological investigations for all cases found, preparing treatment rooms, infrastructure for MMR care, providing standard implementation to patients who are suspected and diagnosed by AKI.

As is known, cases of acute kidney failure which have recently threatened the health of Jakarta's children continue to grow. The Ministry of Health has issued regulations to stop all administrations of mild fever drugs to children.
