IDAI Searches Information On Cases Of Accounting For Children In Banyumas
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) of Central Java is investigating the finding of a case of mysterious acute kidney failure in children aged eight months in Banyumas.
"There is one report from Banyumas, we are currently tracking this," said IDAI Central Java Chairman Fitri Hartanto in Semarang, Wednesday, October 19.
He said, based on reports submitted to IDAI Central Java, the diagnosis of kidney failure in pediatric patients was upright.
Central Java's IDAI is still investigating the cause of the pediatric patient's acute kidney failure.
"We are still looking for the cause, whether we also take paracetamol which is suspected to contain glycol ethilene," he said as quoted by Antara.
He said that pediatricians in the Central Java region had been asked to report findings of alleged acute kidney failure in children and check whether the patient had a history of COVID-19, respiratory tract problems, and digestive tracts.
The Ministry of Health has recorded 189 cases of mysterious acute kidney failure in children from various regions in Indonesia.
According to ministry data, mysterious acute kidney failure occurs in children aged six months to 18 years.
