Azan Berlafaz Jihad, Kapolda Inspector General Fadil: We Chase Down The Rat Hole
JAKARTA - The Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran, confirmed that he would hunt down the perpetrators behind the viral video call to prayer bearing the jihad. The police have caught the video spreader.
"I want to hide in a rat hole," said Inspector General Fadil to reporters, Friday, December 4.
But Inspector General Fadil did not explain the progress of the process of investigating the case. He only explained that his party would continue to hunt him down and settle the case.
"We will continue to pursue developments related to the arrest of the perpetrator who changed the call to prayer from 'Hayya Alal Solah' to 'Hayya Alal Jihad'," he said.
Polda Metro Jaya also arrested a man with the initials H who is suspected of being the party who spread the video of the jihad call to prayer on social media. H is the owner of the Instagram account @hashophasan. He was arrested in Cakung, East Jakarta.
This arrest was based on a report on November 29, 2020. In the report, the video was deemed to contain elements of ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA)
"The video can provoke provocation, as if Indonesia is fighting against the enemy. The reporter as a Muslim community feels aggrieved and then makes a report to the Polda," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus.
Meanwhile, based on the results of the investigation, suspect H, who is a document courier at a private company, admitted to having received the video from the Whatsapp Group (WAG) Forum Muslim Cyber One (FMCO) News.
For his actions, H was named a suspect and charged with Article 28 in conjunction with Article 45 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE and / or Article 156a of the Criminal Code and or Article 160 of the Criminal Code.
