Manchester City Has Been Named Club Of The Year 2022, Toni Kroos Kasih Sindiran Keras VIA Twitter

JAKARTA - Real Madrid player, Toni Kroos, satirized Manchester City, who was recently named Club of the Year 2022 at the Ballon d'Or award which was held on Tuesday, October 18 in the morning WIB.

The satire was implied in the German national team midfielder's tweet on Twitter social media. The 32-year-old thinks his team Real Madrid should deserve the award.

"The third best team [season] 2021/2022. Happy Real Madrid?" wrote the former Bayern Munich player questioning the organizer's decision.

Madrid, who won the European Champions League last season, are only third as the best team of last season.

In fact, Carlo Ancelotti's side won their 14th European Champions League title in May after beating Liverpool in the final.

The La Liga giants beat Chelsea and City on their way to the final. In addition, they also won the La Liga Spanish title before bringing home the trophy from Paris.

In addition to using Twitter, the winner of the 2014 Brazil World Cup also posted satire in the caption of the upload on Instagram while congratulating his teammate Karim Benzema who won the Ballon d'Or.

"And also congratulations to Real Madrid who will be the third best team in 2021/2022," he wrote.

This year's Ballon d'Or was won by Benzema after his sensational campaign last season. The France international scored 44 goals in 46 games.

Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois is recognized as the best goalkeeper. The Belgian goalkeeper performed brilliantly last season, including thwarting the world champion Liverpool in Europe.
