KPK Opens 10 Richest And Poorest Regional Head Candidates In The 2020 Pilkada, Here's The List

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced the 10 richest and poorest regional head candidates who will advance in the 2020 Pilkada. This announcement is based on the State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN) registered by each candidate.

"We collect 10 of the richest, there is no intention whatsoever. Some are worth Rp. 674 billion, but what is somewhat surprising is that some are the poorest with assets of minus Rp. 3.5 billion," said Deputy for Prevention Pahala Nainggolan in a press conference for the LHKPN Data Analysis Report for Candidates. 2020 Regional Heads broadcast on YouTube by KPK RI, Friday, December 4.

It is known that the richest candidate for regional head is Muhidin, who runs as a candidate for deputy governor of South Kalimantan with assets reaching Rp.674,227,888,886.

Meanwhile, the poorest, whose wealth is even minus, is the vice regent candidate Sijunjung Indra Gunalan. He is recorded as reporting LHKPN with total assets of minus IDR 3,550,090,050 because he has a debt of IDR 7.9 billion.

"Later, if he is elected, we will clarify, how can he be minus that much," said Pahala.

In addition, he also mentioned that a candidate for regional head only has assets of Rp. 15 million.

"In Nabire, his wealth is Rp. 15 million. I imagine how this is the campaign. So this is the choice between him not reporting correctly or if he reported it correctly," he said.

By describing the 10 richest and poorest regional head candidates, it is hoped that the community will be able to make their choices well.

"This is a kind of additional information, including for areas with minus assets. If you look at it, there are hundreds of which have minus or zero assets. This also confuses us, how come it's okay, minus. But never mind," he said.
