Investigating The Export Case Of Benur Bribery, The KPK Searched The House Of Representatives Office

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) not only continues to summon witnesses related to the bribery case related to the export of fries or lobster. To investigate the case that ensnared the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, the team of investigators continues to conduct searches.

Most recently, the KPK conducted a search at an official residence of DPR members in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta on Thursday, December 3, until 00.00 WIB.

In the search, Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said that a number of evidences were found.

"During the search, a number of documents and electronic items related to this case were found and secured," Ali said in a written statement to journalists, Friday, December 4.

Then, just like other evidence found by the KPK in other places, the documents and electronic items will be further analyzed by investigators.

Previously, the KPK conducted a search at the official residence of KP Minister Edhy Prabowo several days ago. At that time, the KPK confiscated eight units of bicycles and money in rupiah and foreign currency totaling around Rp. 4 billion, which were allegedly related to the bribery case for the export of fries or lobster seeds.

Previously, the KPK investigating team also conducted a search at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) office. As a result, the KPK at that time confiscated rupiah cash and foreign currency whose nominal values were not stated and a number of documents.

Subsequently, the search was carried out at the PT ACK office in West Jakarta on Monday, November 30.

After the search, a number of evidence related to the bribery case for the export of fries and lobster seeds was brought by KPK investigators. As for the evidence found in the form of documents and other electronic evidence, however, the KPK did not give details.

This evidence will be investigated and analyzed by the anti-graft commission investigators and searches at other locations will still be carried out.

Then, on Monday, December 1, yesterday, KPK investigators carried out searches in three places in the Bekasi area, West Java.

The three locations ransacked were houses, offices and warehouses belonging to the suspect bribery Minister Edhy Prabowo, namely the Director of PT Duta Putra Perkasa, Suharjito (SJT).

From the results of a search that was carried out from 15.00 WIB to 00.00 WIB, the KPK found a number of evidence related to this case. Includes evidence of financial transactions related to bribes.

In this case, Edhy Prabowo was named a suspect in receiving bribes along with five other people, namely: Stafsus Minister of KKP Safri (SAF) and Andreau Pribadi Misanta (APM); Management of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK) Siswadi (SWD); The staff of the wife of the Minister of KKP, Ainul Faqih, and Amiril Mukminin (AM).

Meanwhile, the giver of the bribe was the Director of PT Dua Putra Perkasa Pratama (PT DPPP) Suharjito (SJT).

Edhy Prabowo and a number of suspects were arrested by the KPK prosecution team at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang upon arrival from Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. Edhy and other suspects were immediately detained by the KPK.
