Makassar Pilkada Debate: DILAN Doesn't Want To Play Up And Down On Illicit Narcotics Traders
JAKARTA - Candidate pair number 3 Syamsu Rizal-Fadli Ananda (DILAN) wants to revive the city-level narcotics agency in Makassar. Drug handling is said to need strong support in terms of infrastructure and superstructure.
"About drugs, you should not play games. Drugs destroy the nation, we will fully concentrate on ensuring the people of Makassar are safe from drugs, "said candidate for mayor Syamsu Rizal in the Makassar Pilkada debate broadcast on Youtube KPU Makassar, Friday, December 4.
DILAN has prioritized three things in drug eradication. First, the city-level narcotics agency wants to be revived after being liquidated.
"To ensure that the infrastructure and superstructure of the government is strong enough to fight illegal drug traffickers and dealers," said the candidate for mayor of Makassar who is familiarly called Deng Ical.
Second, DILAN wants to ensure a strategic environment starting from the education level, namely schools. The goal is to ensure students are protected from the influence of drugs.
While the third is the pattern of restorative justice legal approaches (Restorative justice). Users who are victims of drugs called Deng Ical cannot be treated the same way.
"Those victims of drug users should not be treated the same as traffickers and people who take economic benefits from drugs," said Deng Ical.
Regarding this explanation, candidate pair number 1 M Ramdhan Pomanto-Fatmawati Rusdi (ADAMA) agreed with DILAN regarding drug handling.
"ADAMA's commitment to drug handling is very clear, drug handling is not only the task of the government but our duty and we prioritize the RT-based, alley-based preventive approach. Lorong, there will be a self-declaration of the anti-drug alley, ”said Fatmawati while also talking about the ADAMA program at the Makassar Pilkada debate.
