Mads Mikkelsen Admits It Is Difficult To Replace Johnny Depp In Fantastic Beasts 3
JAKARTA - Actor Mads Mikkelsen was chosen to replace Johnny Depp as Grinderwald in Fantastic Beasts 3. Recently, he raised his voice for the first time after the announcement.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Mads Mikkelsen admitted that it is difficult to do this. "There is a tricky part. We are still looking for a way out. "There must be a connection between what Johnny (Depp) shows and what I will show," he said.
"We have to find links so that we are not completely separated from what he (Johnny) is doing."
Because he was asked to play Grinderwald suddenly, he was confused but he was interested in the job. Mikkelsen also regretted that Depp had a problem so he had to resign.
“It's also surprising because (the offer) came after what happened, it's very sad. I wish both of them all the best. "
The election of Mads Mikkelsen has been an issue since early November. Reportedly, he is the main choice of David Yates, director of Fantastic Beasts. This actor is also accustomed to starring in antagonist characters so it is not difficult for him to play Grinderwald.
Grinderwald is also an important character in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Currently, Warner Bros. is in the process of producing Fantastic Beasts 3 for broadcast July 15, 2022.
