Tangsel Regional Election Debate: Vice President Ma'ruf Amin 'Checkmate' Incumbent Benjamin, Talking 60 Percent Of Citizens Want To Change Leaders
JAKARTA - The pair of candidates for mayor and vice mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel) candidate number 3 Benyamin Davnie-Pilar Saga Ichsan asked about the standard of choosing leaders who have the same beliefs or backgrounds. Candidate candidate pair number 2 Siti Nurazizah-Ruhamaben again mentioned the fact that Tangsel residents want a new mayor.
"The issue of leadership in various lives, such as choosing a leader with the same belief, one ethnic group, creates disharmony. What is the opinion of candidate pairs 2, "said candidate deputy walkot Pilar Saga Ichsan in the South Tangerang regional election debate, Thursday, December 3.
Tangsel candidate number 2 mayor Siti Nurazizah emphasized the standardization of a leader. According to him, not just anyone could be asked to become a leader, let alone have to manage a city.
"Of course, if we talk about leadership, we know that the leader must be in one government, of course, the one who has to serve, who wants to protect, protect, not only the majority but the minority including the marginalized," said Azizah in the South Tangerang Regional Election debate.
The daughter of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin then spoke about the issue of leadership which should be based on the spirit of being a leader who brings goodness to many people.
"In religion, it is stated that leaders should not be viewed or discriminated against. The virtue of (a leader) creates benefits, there must be equal distribution of progress and welfare so that a sense of justice grows in society. The important point for leaders must be for all without discrimination, "said Azizah.
The Azizah pair, Ruhamaben, said that leadership must be based on the main thing, namely integrity. According to him, this integrity is recorded in the track record. But capacity, capability including the level of acceptance or acceptability called Ruhama becomes another determining factor.
"Based on public input, Tangsel needs new leadership. We do not know why, but people's input has many unfulfilled expectations, one of which is social imbalances, this development imbalance is very much felt in the city of Tangsel. It is very different in the northern areas developed by the developer with the areas far from the developers, ”explained Ruhama.
Benyamin Davnie, Pilar Saga Ichsan responded to this answer. According to him, a leader must be experienced. Benyamin is the deputy mayor of Tangsel who is on leave because he is contesting the regional head elections.
"It means that what Ruhamaben said is correct, choosing a leader must be experienced and with integrity. (Tangsel) with one of the highest human development indexes in Indonesia, one of the lowest poverty rates in Indonesia, that the leader must continue and continue with experienced people, "said Pilar in the Tangsel Pilkada debate.
Ma'ruf Amin's daughter, Azizah, responded to Pilar's response. He talked back about the facts about the desire of the people of Tangsel City for a new regional head.
"Talking about the city of Tangsel, 60 percent of the people want a change. Change is not only about programs but also about leadership, leadership that is expected by a trustworthy and visionary community, which can make Tangsel better. Evenly progress and welfare so that it can foster a sense of justice, a sense of security as well as peace, "said Azizah in the South Tangerang regional election debate.
