Runner Up In MotoGP Australia, Marc Marquez Tekansat Kecepatannya Masih Dahsyat

JAKARTA - Marc Marquez felt his physical condition experienced rapid progress after the injury and Honda RC213V which was able to bring the Spaniard to finish P2 at the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Marquez has been competitive since the free practice session before securing the second starting position behind polesitter Jorge Martin.

In a 27-round race at the Phillip Island Circuit, Marquez chose the soft rear tire, which proved to be the right choice because he was able to fight in the front group before securing the 100th podium in his career thanks to the last lap maneuver.

He finished 0.186 seconds behind Alex Rins who presented a win for Suzuki before splitting at the end of the season, according to the official MotoGP website.

"Alex had a really good last lap. I gave everything, I really enjoyed this, a lot of overtake," said Marc Marquez.

"In some areas we still have to be better but Honda is working on it, and one step by one we are getting better," said the driver who missed several months in the middle of the season due to undergoing surgery on his four right arms.

"For me, finishing second is important, when I came back after injury, testing at Misano, then racing in Japan, and Thailand. Why? Because it's important to understand that, inside of me, the speed is still there, and when I feel good, I can be fast."

"But it's true that now we need to work hard and this body has to keep up that pace, so step by step, and get better."

The day's Podium Marquez was also helped by the characteristics of the Phillip Island Circuit which is counterclockwise so that there are only two bends to the right.

Marquez menyadari itu, tetapi di Malaysia pekan depan, ia akan menghadapi tantangan yang lebih berat di circuit yang berjalan sehari jam, dengan dua

Long straight tracks and hard braking zones in Sepang.

"In Malaysia we will have more difficulty, I know that. But we have a winter holiday to improve, we are getting better and this is the best way to keep my motivation, team and Honda because Honda is also in a difficult situation," said Marc Marquez.
