Exhausted, Brigadier General Prasetijo Cancels Testimonies On Joko Tjandra's Red Notice Case
JAKARTA - Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo canceled his testimony in the case of alleged gratification for the removal of red notice for the defendant Joko Tjandra. Prasetijo said he was tired from waiting since morning.
Originally, in this trial the Public Prosecutor (JPU) examined four witnesses. Three of them were Brigadier General Nugroho Slamet Wibowo, Anita Dewi Kolopaking and Tommy Sumardi.
Prasetijo's cancellation gave his testimony after receiving the blessing of the panel of judges. Initially, the panel of judges asked about the condition of the witnesses, then Prasetijo immediately answered if he was physically tired.
"Are you healthy, are you still able to provide witness testimony?" Asked Chief Judge Muhammad Damis.
"I am tired, noble, because tomorrow I will be a noble scout," answered Prasetijo.
Hearing this reason, the panel of judges had time to discuss it. In fact, the panel of judges also asked the Public Prosecutor (JPU) for their considerations.
"Instead of giving information that is not optimal, it is better for you to rest. But, later on, you will be contacted again by the public prosecutor to ask for a trial statement," said the presiding judge.
"This is because of your objection and fatigue. The only problem is whether this witness is detained in another case? This will become a problem. So, I asked the public prosecutor how, you asked to go home," he continued.
The judge also allowed Prasetijo to return to the Salmeba detention center (Rutan), the Bareskrim Police branch. "If you can rest in this office environment, you can take a break now," he said.
For your information, Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo is one of the four defendants. He is the party who received bribes from Joko Tjandra regarding the removal of red notices.
