7 Prisoners Of The Jatiasih Police Escape, Break The Wall Wearing A Pondok

JAKARTA - Seven of the ten detainees escaped from the Jatiasih Police cell, Bekasi, Thursday, October 13. They are said to have broken through the bathroom wall.

"A total of 10 suspects were detained in one cell. Of the 10 people, 7 of them have fled," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Saturday, October 15.

The detainees included Gopar, Dola Aprian, Iman alias Ambon, Arip Budiman, Saipul Bahri, Achmad Ridwan, and Redo Palami. Based on the reports received, said Zulpan, they fled around 21.39 WIB.

The action of escaping the detainees was said to have just been discovered from another suspect, Hendiyawan (37). He shouted at the guard, Ipda RN, to inform the prisoners' actions.

"Witness Hendiyawan, this prisoner also shouted to the Criminal Investigation Unit Brigadier AR who then informed SPK guard officers that the detainee had fled," he said.

Thus, Ipda RN approached the source of the screams to examine it. Apparently, the bathroom wall in the detention cell was broken.

"Checked into the detention room found the side wall of the bathroom in a perforated state and the iron trellis was bent," said Zulpan.

Based on the interim investigation, the seven detainees broke through the wall using iron and a spoon.

"It is suspected that the detainees escaped using 1 iron measuring 13 with a length of 30 CM and a tablespoon," said Zulpan.

Currently, the police are seeking information about the whereabouts of the detainees.
