Four Unemployment In West Jakarta Curi Motor For Sabu
The West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested four suspects for motorcycle theft with a strike motorbike mode. The four suspects who were arrested had the initials M alias Acil, MI alias Nopi, HH alias Heri and BA alias Ade.
From the confessions of the four perpetrators, they used the proceeds of crime to buy methamphetamine.
West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Kompol Haris Kurniawan said the four suspects were arrested in the Tangerang area a few days ago.
"The role of the four people is three of them as executors and one other person as an intermediary selling the victim's vehicle," he told reporters, Friday, October 14.
According to Kasat, the four suspects who were unemployed during their action were influenced by methamphetamine. Even the proceeds of the crime are planned to buy methamphetamine.
"The results of our examination of the suspects, the four of them were positive for using methamphetamine. According to their confession, the victim's vehicle which was sold was used to buy narcotics of the type of methamphetamine," he said.
Kompol Haris explained that the four suspects admitted that this was the first time they had committed a crime with the strike motorbike mode.
The evidence that was secured was a motorcycle unit of the perpetrators used during the action.
"They are just targeting random victims. Who was mistaken for weakness and happened to be at the time of the incident the victims who tried to help the suspects grabbed the motorbike," he said.
In their action, the suspects were not equipped with sharp weapons. The motorbike they stole sold for Rp900 thousand. They used the money to buy methamphetamine.
"The suspects are all unemployed. The information from them is only the first time this incident has happened, but it does not rule out other incidents," he said.
As a result of their actions, the suspects were charged with Article 372 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 378 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of four years in prison.
