OKU - Police Resort (Polres) Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), South Sumatra arrested MU, the perpetrator of the murder of the Karang Dapo Village Secretary (Sekdes), Peninjauan District Muhammad Sajili (44) on June 22, 2022.Head of Public Relations of the OKU Police, AKP Syafaruddin, said the suspect was detained at his hiding place in East Lampung Regency, Lampung Province."After being a fugitive from the police, we finally arrested the suspect while posing as a fisherman on the seafront of Pasir Sakti District, East Lampung Regency on Wednesday, October 12 at 15.00 WIB," he explained in Baturaja, Antara, Friday, October 14.During his time as a fugitive from the police, the suspect admitted to being a fisherman at sea and looking for trash to meet his daily needs.When he was about to be arrested, the suspect tried to fight the officers, so he had to take decisive action by shooting him in the right leg. "We have secured the suspect and will be charged with murder," he also said.Meanwhile, the suspect MU admitted that the murder incident was because the perpetrator did not accept his position as Secretary of Karang Dapo Village taken by the victim."I was annoyed with the victim because he took my place. On the day of the incident I met the victim who at that time wanted to look for fish in the river and there was a debate between the two of us," he also said.He said, initially the victim who used to try to stab the perpetrator with a sharp weapon that he tucked around his waist.Feeling threatened, the perpetrator immediately dodged and took the victim's sharp weapon, then stabbed him indiscriminately with 42 stab wounds to death at the scene."After killing the victim, I fled to Lampung," said the tattooed man who claimed to have been in prison for a murder case in 1994.
