TikTok Joins Showtimes Features, Users Can Buy Cinema Tickets On Platforms
JAKARTA - Film lovers can now buy cinema tickets through the short TikTok video application easily in the Paying or Showtimes Schedule feature.
Citing an official statement, Friday, October 14, TikTok offers an easy way for its users to buy cinema tickets after they see interesting movie footage.

"To help the film studio connect with the community involved, we have created Showtimes on TikTok, a new original experience optimized to encourage the intention of watching live films from TikTok to ticket sales partners to complete purchases," TikTok said.
The short video application owned by ByteDance also explains that 52 percent of users are interested in new shows, films or actors whose videos are broadcast on the app, as well as a quarter of people who see advertisements from the film usually buy tickets.
This new feature is believed to attract users to buy tickets immediately. TikTok says it will focus on brands and advertisements.
Others in launching new features, content creators collaborating with mobile gaming companies will be able to include relevant iOS and Android app store links to help people download the game while promoting it.
Content creators can also put a pin on the comment with a link to more details about the service or product they show in the video.
TikTok also launched Profile Kit, users can link their accounts to multiple third-party apps and show their videos there. TikTok's first partner for this initiative is Linktree.
