Present At The Opening Of MTQ In South Kalimantan Together Istri, Ganjar: May The Gathering Add Rumaket

JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo attended the opening of the 29th MTQ in South Kalimantan. Together with his wife, Siti Atikoh, Ganjar witnessed the freshness of the tilawatil quaran competition which was held for two years.

The opening ceremony, Wednesday, October 12 last night was held very lively. The art show, fireworks and parade of 34 provinces in traditional clothing in each region amazed Ganjar and thousands of spectators.

"The place is interesting because it is a little isolated. The weather is also good and all contingents from all over Indonesia also get interesting space so that the event looks really smooth," said Ganjar, Thursday, October 13.

In addition, at the opening location there is also an MSME exhibition. Thus, many contingents from all over Indonesia can see and enjoy various foods and handicrafts typical of South Kalimantan.

"Earlier, the remarks from the Vice President and the Minister of Religion were also good. Everyone was happy. It was seen that the implementation was well prepared," he added.

Ganjar hopes that this time the MTQ event will not only be a competition. However, the event could be a momentum to foster brotherhood between the nation's children.

"Hopefully, among all the nation's children who are now participating in the implementation of MTQ in South Kalimantan, the friendship will increase," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin said, the National MTQ is one of the programs to improve and develop religious values in society. MTQ is also an event to improve the quality of human resources.

"Every Muslim must be a superior person who masters science and skills. With this MTQ, I hope the younger generation has a correct understanding of the content and content of the Koran," he said.

MTQ continued, he was not only a vehicle to practice and compete. However, MTQ can make people love and ground the Koran.
