The Names Of 2 TNI Personnel Appear In The Case Of The Murder Of ASN Iwan Budi Paulus, Pomdam Diponegoro Calls There Is No Preliminary Evidence
The Military Police of Kodam IV/Diponegoro do not yet have sufficient preliminary evidence regarding the involvement of TNI personnel in the case of the alleged murder of the Semarang City Government ASN, Iwan Budi Paulus.Iwan Budi's body was previously found on fire in the Marina area of Semarang."Until now, there has been no sufficient preliminary evidence regarding the involvement of TNI members," said Military Police Commander IV/Diponegoro Colonel Rinoso Budi in Semarang, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 13.However, he said, military police are still investigating the case.It was said that the two TNI personnel who had been examined and became suspects in the case were AG and HR, respectively. Both of them served in the Military Police Unit of Kodam IV/Diponegoro.According to him, Pomdam IV/Diponegoro conducted an investigation based on a report from the Semarang Police which stated that there was an alleged involvement of TNI personnel in the murder case of Iwan Budi.From the report, he said, Pomdam then secured AG and his wife NR and HR on September 19, 2022.This, he continued, was a follow-up to the investigation by the Semarang Polrestabes which also examined witnesses AG Portal and HRD, witnesses who were in the vicinity of the Marina area.He said that Pomdam Diponegoro investigators also conducted an examination of AG Portal and HRD.Witness AG Portal told TNI investigators that he did not know the two individuals suspected of being involved, while witness HRD knew both of them in business affairs.Meanwhile, the examination of AG and HR elements, he continued, revealed that there was an alibi about the whereabouts of the two when Iwan Budi died on August 24, 2022."Both of them were in the office at the time of the incident, there were also witnesses," he said.Until now, according to him, the investigation is still ongoing by revealing the contents of the victim's cell phone which was also burned."Still coordinating with the police because we don't have the equipment," said TNI Colonel Rinoso Budi.Rinoso emphasized that Pomdam was trying to be objective and professional in uncovering the case. Previously, a body was found on fire with a motorcycle in the Marina Beach area, Semarang City, Central Java, on September 8, 2022.Together with the body and motorbike, which is an official vehicle belonging to Iwan Budi, a sign of identity and cell phone were found which allegedly belonged to Iwan Budi Paulus.Iwan Budi was reported missing a day before being examined as a witness at the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police regarding the alleged corruption of asset certification.The police have confirmed that the burnt body is Iwan Budi Paulus based on the DNA test results.
