Important In Educating Disaster Prevention From Schools
JAKARTA - The DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is holding disaster prevention guidance and assistance at Madrasah Al Fallah, Kwitang Village, Central Jakarta.
Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Prevention Sub-Coordinator, Rian Sarsono, said that his party would like to thank the Head of Kwitang Village, the Head of Senen Sub-district and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Al Falah for supporting and facilitating coaching and simulation programs.
"This activity was held to educate management of management and break potential disasters in schools and anticipatory steps by forming a disaster response team," said Rian Sarsono in Jakarta, Thursday, October 13.
He revealed that disaster prevention development and assistance had been held in 130 Elementary Schools (SD) (, 53 Junior High Schools (SMP), 52 High Schools (SMA) and a number of Extraordinary Schools (SLB) and Kindergarten (TK) in Jakarta.
"We hope that participants after attending this training are born a culture aware of starting to do small things in reducing risk and being ready in the event of a disaster," he said.
The Head of Senen Sub-district, Rony Jarpiko, appreciated the disaster prevention and prevention activities held in schools or madrasas so that students understand how to do and act when a disaster occurs.
"Hopefully this activity can be held in other schools that are prone to disasters and students can disseminate efforts to prevent and handle disaster if a disaster occurs," he said.
The principal of MI Al Falah, Yuli Muniroh, said he was happy with the activities held by the DKI Jakarta BPBD so that students understood how to deal with disasters.
"Alhamdulillah, MI Al Falah students get knowledge about disaster management and education for students so they don't litter into rivers," he said.
