Women KW And 15 Other Indonesian Representatives Entering 2022 IIC Big 16 Malang
JAKARTA - Putri Kusuma Wardani along with 15 other Indonesian representatives advanced into the round of 16 of the 2022 Internatonal Challenge Indonesia badminton tournament Malang series which took place 11-16 October.
Head of Public Relations and Media of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) Broto Happy hopes that Putri KW et al will be able to maintain the chances of the Red and White Troops in the event.
"Hopefully, the remaining players can still keep their hopes and can play well and tomorrow win the last eight tickets," Broto said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday.
Broto explained, of the 16 Indonesian representatives, the representatives in the men's singles number, there were three representatives, four women's singles, two pairs of men's doubles, two pairs of women's doubles and two pairs of mixed doubles.
A number of names representing Indonesia in the badminton tournament are Putri Kusuma Wardani, Ruzana, Bobby Setiabudi, Al Ilham and Jamil, Nita Violina Marwah and Tryola Nadia, Syabda Perkasa Belawa and Hafiz Faisal and Melati Daeva Oktavianti.
Then, Dadiara and Elohim, Rahmat Hidayat and Putri Kusumawardana, M Apriyanda and B Rumambi, Gabriela Meilani moningka, Ruselli Hartawan, Tegar Sulistio, Alfian Eko Prasetyo and Ade Yusuf Santoso, Berry Angriawan and Rian Agung Saputro and B Rumambi and M Syahputri.
"This player is expected to be able to maintain Indonesia's hopes in the tournament," he said.
Meanwhile, mixed doubles player Hafiz Faizal added that in the tournament, this was the first time he was paired with Melati Daeva Oktavianti. However, that is not a problem because the two often train while still in the Cipayung National Training Center.
"We have practiced together a lot before, it's just a matter of communication in the field," he said.
In the tournament which will be held on 11-16 October 2022, 238 athletes from 13 countries will participate. The international level players include coming from Austria, Canada, China, Estonia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and America.
In the tournament with a prize of 15 thousand United States (US) dollars, 132 players were participated from abroad and the rest were from within the country.
