Kuku Bima Energi Sido Muncul Holds Free Lip Cleft Operations In Semarang
JAKARTA - In the framework of World Smile Day, PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) through its superior product, the Kuku Bima Health Supplement, again held free lip-climbing Operations social services in collaboration with Smile Train Indonesia at the Hall of the Citarum Wilasa Institution Hospital, Semarang, Central Java on Friday 7 October.The assistance worth Rp350 million was symbolically handed over by the Director of Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, to the Country Manager and Program Director of Smile Train Indonesia, Deasy Larasati, online. The handover of aid was also witnessed by the Director of the Citarum Wilasa Panti Hospital, dr. Yohanes Mada, Head of Central Java Branch Plastic Review, dr. Rizqy Setyarto, SpBP-RE, and Semarang City Government Representatives."I feel that it is difficult for children who suffer from cleft lips to eat and lack self-confidence (with their appearance). We hope that the operation will run smoothly so that patients can smile again and can increase their confidence in socializing," explained Irwan, in a written statement, Wednesday, October 12.He revealed that his party targets to provide assistance to 2,000 patients even more next year. This is because Sido Muncul not only relies on CSR funds to provide assistance, but also allocates ad fund for Kuku Bima Health Supplement to help more cleft lip patients.In addition to handing over aid, Smile Train Indonesia also held a talk show titled "A Smile Can Change the World" which presented five sources, including Irwan Hidayat who explained Sido Muncul's concern for lip-climbing patients.Free lip cleft surgery has been carried out since 2018. Assistance has been held in various regions in Indonesia, including ST Carolus Borromeus Hospital, Kupang Nusa Tenggara Timur twice, Dolok Sanggul Hospital North Sumatra, Sari Asih Serang Banten Hospital, Surodadi Hospital Tegal, RSI Wonosobo Central Java, Hospital Selaras Tangerang, Hermina Galaxy Hospital Bekasi. The total number of patients who have been operated is 212 patients.
