Investigate The Judicial Tragedy, The Police Check The Director Of Operations To Indosiar
JAKARTA - The National Police will examine a new witness in the investigation of the riots at the Malang Village Stadium that killed hundreds of people. They include the Director of Operations of the New Indonesia League (LIB) to the Indosiar.
"(Requested, ed) LIB Operations Director, PSSI Deputy Security and Safety, from Indosiar, and the general coordinator of the organizing committee," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday, October 12.
The examination of the parties is scheduled for next week. They were asked for information allegedly to explore the security scheme during the Arema match against Persebaya.
Meanwhile, specifically for Indosiar, the inspection is related to broadcasting rights.
Originally, PT LIB had mentioned that it had rejected recommendations from the police to advance the match on the grounds of sanctions or penalties related to broadcasting rights.
"That will be questioned next week. So quite a number of witnesses are being asked for information next week," said Dedi.
Previously, PSSI, PT LIB, Panpel and Indosiar were also questioned by the Independent Fact Finding Joint Team (TGIPF) on Tuesday, October 11.

In handling the case, the National Police have named six suspects. They include the President Director of PT LIB, Akhmad Hadian Lukita, Chairman of Panpel Arema FC Abdul Haris, and Security Officer Arema, Suko Sutrisno.
Then, the Head of the Malang Police Ops Division, Kompol Wahyu Setyo Pranoto, Head of Samapta Malang Police AKP Bambang Sidik Achmadi, and the East Java Police Mobile Brigade Company Commander AKP Hasdarman.
They are suspected of under Article 359 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 360 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 130 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 52 of Law Number 11 of 2022.
In addition to the six names named by the suspect, the police also examined 31 Polri personnel. From that result, 20 people were found to be suspected of violating the code of ethics.
They consist of four main officials from the Malang Police, two personnel as supervisors and controllers, three personnel as the party who ordered the shooting of tear gas, as well as 11 personnel who fired tear gas.
