18 Names Of Candidates For Ombudsman Members Submitted By Jokowi To The DPR

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has submitted 18 names of candidates for the Ombudsman Member of the Republic of Indonesia 2021-2026 who passed an open interview.

"With the letter number R / 46 / president / 12 of 2020 on December 2, 2020, the President has submitted 18 names to the DPR and they have been accepted by the DPR," said State Secretary Minister Pratikno in a broadcast on the Youtube "channel" of the Presidential Secretariat, reported by Antara, Wednesday, December 2.

The 18 people are people who have been elected by five selection committees (pansel), namely former KPK Deputy Chairman Chandra M Hamzah as chairman of the committee, Chairman of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Muhammad Yusuf Ateh (deputy chairman of the committee), Deputy IV Presidential Staff Office Juri Ardiantoro (member), lecturer at the Department of Sociology FISIP Francisia Saveria Sika Ery Seda (member) and Chairman of the Association of Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic Boarding School Abdul Ghaffar Rozin (member).

"So this letter has been received by the secretariat general of the DPR. We really hope that the DPR will immediately follow up by selecting 9 of the 18 names to determine their appointments through a Presidential Decree," said Pratikno.

There is only one member of the Indonesian Ombudsman for the 2016-2021 period who passed the top 18, namely Dadan Suparjo Suharmiwijaya.
