Police Arrest Men Who Shot Alphard's Car, A Textile Entrepreneur 8 Times In Solo
SOLO - The police have arrested a perpetrator in the shooting case of a black Toyota Alphard Nopol AD-8945-JP on Jalan Munginsidi, Banjarsari District, Solo.
Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak said the perpetrator of the shooting case was LJ (72), a resident of Jebres Solo. He was arrested by officers while in the VIP waiting room of a bus PO in Palur Karanganyar with evidence.
There was a Volter 22 millimeter caliber pistol, three magazines and 62 unused bullets which were confiscated as evidence. The perpetrator and the evidence were brought to the Surakarta Police Headquarters.
"LJ, when he was arrested by the police, had already brought a ticket to Bekasi after shooting the victim's car," said Kombes Ade Safri.
He said the shooting case by the LJ perpetrator began with the victim, a textile businessman in Karanganyar with his driver, driving a black Toyota Alphard out of the house to look for food, at around 12.00 WIB.
The victim and his driver on the way were stopped by the perpetrator LJ and his wife. LJ and his wife, with the intention of hitchhiking in the victim's car. Next, the perpetrator and his wife got into the victim's car and then took them to the perpetrator's swallow nest house on Jalan Munginsidi Banjasari Surakarta.
At the location, LJ asked the victim to get out of the car to his swallow house. However, the victim refused the perpetrator's request and at the same time, the victim's driver saw bad signs. The victim's driver saw the perpetrator carrying a firearm that was placed in the front of the perpetrator's pants.
The driver who was suspicious then turned the victim's car around until the perpetrator angrily shouted to stop the vehicle.
However, the driver was determined to keep driving his car so that the perpetrator shot his gun against the left side of the black car body which was driven by the victim.
The victim and the driver knew that there had been gunfire and continued driving their vehicle. The perpetrator LJ continued to fire at the car 8 times.
The victim managed to secure himself into the Mobile Brigade Detachment C headquarters in Banjarsari. The police then carried out the TKP processing by the Surakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit identification team.
"We divided the team because of this case, the perpetrator was carrying a firearm, and was 'back up' by the Detachment C Action Team for the Central Java Police Mobile Brigade, to make arrests of the perpetrators," he said.
The police at around 13.25 WIB found out that the perpetrator was at one of the PO buses in Palur Karanganyar. The team moved to the location to arrest the perpetrators around 14.25 WIB and seized evidence of a 22-millimeter Volter pistol, three magazines and 62 bullets.
"The perpetrator and the victim knew each other beforehand, we are still exploring the motivation of the perpetrator to shoot the victim's car 8 times," said the Police Chief.
