The Reaction Of NasDem Cadre Asked For Lengser From Cabinet: Opening, Surya Paloh Jokowi's Sahabat

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party reacted to Jokowi's volunteer action asking ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet from the NasDem Party to step down.

According to the Deputy Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali, Jokowi's volunteer attitude is very excessive. Because, NasDem is still committed to helping the Jokowi government until 2024. "The volunteers are too excessive. Because in my opinion, the journey of the NasDem Party in coalition, God willing, will always uphold the values in the agreement in the coalition itself," said Ahmad Ali, Tuesday, October 10.

Ali assessed that President Jokowi and the General Chair of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, had also been friends for a long time. Thus, NasDem will always uphold the values that have been agreed upon previously despite declaring Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate (Capres) in 2024.

"The NasDem Party, especially Surya Paloh, is a friend of Pak Jokowi's, starting from 2014 and God willing, in 2024," said Ali. Previously, a number of Jokowi volunteers asked all ministers from the NasDem Party to resign. This request emerged after the party created by Surya Paloh declared Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024.

"We ask the President to immediately dismiss the ministers from the Nasdem Party," said Jokowi volunteer representative Fredi Moses Ulem, in the Central Jakarta area, Monday, October 10.

Fredi said, there are two reasons that underlie the request of Jokowi volunteers to request that NasDem Party cadres in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet resign.

First, Anies' investigation was carried out during a period of mourning after the soccer tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java, Saturday, October 1. Second, Anies is a witness in the alleged corruption case at the Formula E event which is being investigated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"We ask that the vision and mission of Mr. President Joko Widodo is one of the eradication of corruption, so that the Formula E case can be resolved," said Fredi.
