Reasons For Rizieq Shihab's Sickness To Not Fulfill The Call For Examination Questioned, Police: Which Doctor's Letter?

JAKARTA - Investigators at Polda Metro Jaya considered that the reason for Rizieq Shihab's absence at the first examination was not reasonable. The reason is there is no supporting evidence to substantiate these reasons.

"According to the investigators, it is inappropriate and the reason given by the team of lawyers for MRS itself is inappropriate," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Wednesday, December 2.

Yusri said Rizieq Shihab through his lawyer stated that Rizieq was not present at the investigation because it took time to recover. But not in submitting it to investigators, the legal team did not attach any evidence.

The evidence in question is a doctor's statement. With the evidence, the police continued Yusri to confirm the truth of the reasons for Rizieq's absence.

"If there is a sickness certificate from the doctor or which hospital, so that later we can be held accountable from the hospital or what doctor said he was sick," he said.

Previously, FPI's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, said the reason for Rizieq Shihab's absence was because he still needed time to recover his physical condition. This is because Rizieq has recently returned from the hospital.

"Still resting, we know that he just returned from the Ummi Hospital, Bogor, after resting there so he is still recovering," said Aziz to reporters, Tuesday, December 1.

The reasons for Rizieq's absence from questioning have also been conveyed to investigators. So, in the near future investigators will send a second summons.

"Today he is not absent, he is represented by us by the legal aid team," he said.

Investigators then rescheduled Rizieq Shihab's examination. It is planned that the FPI Grand Priest will be questioned as a witness on Monday, December 7.
