Village Funds More Than IDR 700 Million, Almost Half All Allegedly Corrupted The Village Head Of This Village

JAKARTA - The North Gorontalo Police have officially detained one village head suspected of corruption in village funds in the area.

"The suspect with the initials AA is a village head in the Anggrek sub-district. He is suspected of misappropriating village funds for Fiscal Year 2019," said North Gorontalo Police Chief, AKBP Juprisan Pratama Ramadhan Nasution, in Gorontalo, Monday 10 October quoted from Antara.

Detention has been carried out since Saturday, (8/10) after going through a complete examination process conducted on Friday, (7/10).

The results of the examination of the criminal investigation unit (Satreskrim) of the corruption crime unit stated that the alleged abuse of financial management of the village funds had fulfilled the elements so that the detention was carried out.

"Currently we are continuing with the investigation process to complete all files before the case is transferred to the prosecutor's office," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the North Gorontalo Inspectorate, Sjamsul Bahri Pooe, said that his party had indeed found the person concerned or the non-active village with the initials AA.

The results of the calculation of state losses which are the obligations of the Inspectorate have also been submitted to the Resort Police, based on the results of the examination of village funds for Fiscal Year 2019 and 2020.

Seperti di Tahun Anggaran 2019, hasil pemeriksaan pihaknya kata Sjamsul, menemukan perlakuan yang bersangkutan tersebut telah mengakibatkan kerugian negara mencapai Rp340 juta dari total dana desa mencapai Rp700 juta lebih.

"We have submitted all the data to the police. Currently, the person concerned has been handled by the Resort Police, so we really appreciate the process," he said.

What is certain is that he added, the Inspectorate has submitted data needs according to the results of the calculation which caused state losses based on the results of the examination and calculations carried out.
