The National Police Claims To Have Been Guarding Mahfud's Parents' House Since The Rizieq Shihab Case Began
JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters claims to have secured the home of the parents of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD. The security was carried out since the Rizieq Shihab case began.
"The steps taken since the launch of the MRS case, the Sampang Police have secured the residence of the parents of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, to reporters, Wednesday, December 2.
However, the security called Awi was not carried out openly. All forms of security are carried out behind closed doors on a warrant (sprin) from the local police. The goal is to anticipate things that are not going to happen.
This security was evidenced by the fact that the mob raiding the house of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs was quickly dispersed.
"Because members are already on standby there, they can anticipate and be disbanded," he said.
Previously, the raid was viral on social media. The mass recorded in the video footage was dominated by men wearing Muslim clothes.
In the video a narrator can be heard explaining that the video was taken in front of Mahfud MD's house in Pamekasan, Madura.
"Mahfud MD's house in Madura, Pamekasan, was raided by the masses," said the narrator in the video.
Even after the impact of the raid, Mahfud's mother was immediately terrified. Because, when the incident occurred, the mother was only accompanied by her eldest brother who was 70 years old and with two nurses and a household assistant.
