Actress Princess Margaret Asks Netflix To Affirm The Result Of Dramatization
JAKARTA - The UK Government's request to Netflix UK to claim The Crown as a work of fiction was approved by one of its players, Helena Bonham Carter.
The actress of Princess Margaret asks Netflix to call The Crown the dramatization of events related to the British Empire. Through the official podcast of The Crown, Carter said that the series had a big responsibility.
“(The Crown) is a dramatization. I firmly believe, because I think we have a moral responsibility to say, 'Hold on guys, this is not a drama documentary, we are making a drama,' said Carter.
Earlier, Culture Minister Oliver Dowden asked The Crown to warn that this is a work of fiction in every episode.
“(The Crown) is a beautiful work of fiction, so it's like any other production. Netflix had to make it clear (work of fiction) from the start. Without that description, I'm afraid that non-living viewers will mistake fiction for fact. "
The accuracy of several scenes in the fourth season of The Crown is also considered wrong by many, one of which is Princess Diana's younger brother, Charles Spencer.
The Crown series enters its fourth season where the story focuses on the ups and downs of Prince Charles' marriage to Princess Diana. Since its release, this fourth season has seen more than 70 million views worldwide.
