Economic Acceleration, Sandiaga Uno Encourages Branding And Digitalization Of MSMEs

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno seeks to accelerate the digitization process for MSME actors and the creative economy in Magetan Regency, East Java. This effort was later known to expand market access and increase competitiveness.

"In the midst of economic conditions that have the potential for inflation, MSMEs must be stronger by branding and digitizing. That is what continues to be encouraged, one of which is by utilizing the digital world," said Sandiaga Uno when he was a resource person at the Magetan Economic Awakening (Gergetan) Movement event at the Surya Graha Magetan Hall, Saturday, October 8.

According to Sandiaga Uno, "branding" and digitalization are demands that should be faced by MSME actors. And creative economy actors today, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Therefore, he invites creative economy actors and MSMEs throughout the country, including Magetan, to prepare for these challenges.

Magetan Regent Suprawoto welcomed the efforts to digitize MSMEs in Magetan. The Magetan Regency Government also continues to encourage this, so that MSMEs in Magetan can survive and progress.

" Magetan Regency received a quota of 10,000 for "digital finance". One of them is the quota filled by MSME actors who have been trained by us," said Suprawoto Regent.

In addition to continuing to encourage the digitization of MSMEs, the Magetan Regency Government also claims that currently many local MSME products have been included in the electronic catalog. So that the products can be purchased are not only residents of Magetan but also residents from outside the region.

The Rapid Action to Rise the Magetan Economy (Greegetan) was attended by around 230 creative economy and MSME actors in Magetan.

At the end of the activity, Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno also gave MSME actors the opportunity to take photos with him by bringing their respective products. This is one of the marketing strategies so that the products of MSME actors are known to the market.
