KPU Sabu Raijua Lack Of 1,041 Votes, While Holding Advantage 533

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Sabu Raijua, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), reported a shortage of 1,041 ballots for the 2020 Pilkada Simultaneous.

"The letter was lacking because it was damaged during the checking, sorting and counting of ballots on Tuesday, December 1," said the spokesman for the KPU Sabu Rijua, NTT, Daud Pau, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, December 2.

He said the logistics of ballots needed in the 2020 simultaneous regional elections were 55,910, and PSU ballots of 2,000.

"Everything was received completely, but after sorting, only 54,869 sheets were good, while 1,041 sheets were damaged," he said.

He hopes that this shortfall can be met in the next few days, because all logistics must be distributed as soon as possible to the villages.

Meanwhile, the KPU of Ngada Regency, NTT noted that there were an excess of 533 ballots for the 2020 Pilkada needs from the 114,375 ballots needed.

"We finished sorting the letters on Monday (30/11) night, the result was that there were an excess of 533 ballots," said the chairman of the Ngada Regency KPU Stanislaus Neke.

The number of ballots received by the Ngada KPU was 115,175 ballots or more than the required number of 114,375 ballots.

Against this advantage, continued Stanislaus, will be destroyed after the distribution of election logistics. "We will destroy more of these after the logistics distribution on November 8," he said.

He said that from the results of the sorting, it was found that 114,908 ballots were in good condition, while 267 ballots were damaged to be replaced.

Meanwhile, the number of ballots prepared for re-election (PSU) received by the Ngada KPU was 2,000 ballots.

Stanislaus further explained that the election logistics supplies for the local elections are mostly complete, such as ballot boxes, ballot booths, seals, ballots, and copies of Form C and will be distributed on 7-8 December.
