Twitter Will Ask You To Share Tweets Than Taking Screenshots

JAKARTA - Taking screenshots is one of the easiest ways to share content from one media to another, especially on Twitter.

However, now, it appears that the social media platform has launched a capability that indirectly asks Twitter active users to share tweets rather than take screenshots.

First discovered by social media consultant Matt Navarra on Twitter, he shared an image where Twitter showed a small pop-up that reads "share tweet instead?" after he took a screenshot of a tweet.

"Twitter doesn't want you to capture the tweet screen anymore. It wants Twitter users to see tweets instead of screenshots on rival platforms," Navarra wrote.

Then, there was a reply from another Twitter user who also got an update like Navarra. However, some are not.

Ternyata, kemampuan tersebut masih dalam tahap uji coba ke beberapa pengguna iOS yang beruntung saja.

"We're testing this new request with a small group of people on iOS to let them know that there are other ways to share tweets with their friends," a Twitter spokesperson told TechCrunch.

He also said that his party wanted to make tweets accessible to everyone, even as they left their platform, and allowed others to easily return to full conversations on Twitter.

The new ability that is currently being tested can be one way for Twitter to attract more people to use its app.
