It Was The Turn Of The Banten PPP DPW For The Declaration Of Support Ganjar Pranowo To Become A 2024 Presidential Candidate
BANTEN - The Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Banten Province United Development Party (PPP) declared Ganjar Pranowo a presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 election.“ We, the Banten PPP DPW, declared Ganjar as the 2024 presidential candidate, because he has close relations and some of his extended families are at PPP,” said Chairman of the Banten PPP DPW Subadri Ushuludin in a written statement in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, October 7th.He explained that the reason for supporting Ganjar was based on the closeness of the Governor of Central Java to the party bearing the symbol of the sub-district and the results of the istigasah of the ulama.The Deputy Mayor of Serang said that the declaration of support for Ganjar had gone through several considerations. One of them is based on the results of a coordination meeting by the chairmen of the DPC, the party's autonomous body, and the party organization.“ This decision also departs from the religious clerics who first declared and agreed to win, support, and lead Ganjar to become President of 2024,” he explained.Subadri believes that through his popular personality, Ganjar can accept the aspirations of the people. He also asked the DPP and the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) to nominate Ganjar as President.He emphasized that Ganjar's figure is very flexible, has many innovations, is close to the community and can accept the aspirations of the community."We will send the results of this declaration to the DPP to submit it to the national committee. Regarding PPP being part of the KIB, we also ask all coalition leaders to nominate Ganjar,” hopefully.Previously, Ganjar received support as a presidential candidate from the South Sulawesi PPP DPW and PPP DKI Jakarta cadres who are members of the Jakarta Kaaba cadre. In addition, support has also been attended by scholars throughout Banten at joint and istigasah prayer activities led by Abuya Muhtadi Dimiyati.
