Government Advocates People To Buy Local Products: Two Impacts Of The Economy
JAKARTA - The government through the Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita firmly stated that the use of domestic products can have a broad impact on the national economy.
According to him, the government continues to encourage commitment and support from all parties to prioritize spending on local products in order to realize the nation's independence.
"Every Rp1 for domestic product expenditure can contribute to the national economy of Rp2.2," he said in a press statement quoted on Friday, October 7.
The Minister of Industry explained that the magnitude of the impact that arose was due to domestic product spending creating a reward linkage and forward linkage. Therefore, his party launched three breakthroughs to speed up, simplify, and increase certificates at the domestic component level (TKDN).
First, increasing the number of assessors and verification agencies for the calculation and verification of the TKDN and Company Benefit Weights (BMP) values.
"The Ministry of Industry opens the widest opportunity for government agencies/agencies, BUMN, and the private sector to participate in facilitating domestic products in obtaining TKDN certificates," he said.
Second, simplifying the process of administering TKDN certificates for small industries. Currently, small industries are claimed to be able to take care of TKDN certificates with only two steps.
A small industry can do self-assessment, then simply apply for TKDN certification and input data through SIINas. After that, a TKDN value verification will be carried out. When the process is complete, the small industry can immediately print the TKDN certificate itself," he said.
Then the third is to strengthen domestic product supply data. Currently, through the TKDN website, users or Commitment Making Officers (PPK) can obtain product information that is already TKDN and products that have been produced domestically.
It is stated that through this information disclosure, the domestic industry gets the opportunity to be selected first and used in the procurement of goods and services.
Furthermore, the Minister of Industry said that the use of domestic products also contributed to the development of a good industrial climate.
"In the end, our industries can grow and develop, and can even become kings in their own country," he concluded.
