The Title Of The PSSI Together Evaluation Meeting, Menpora Singgung Supporter On Understanding Rights And Obligations

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports held an evaluation meeting with PSSI, a number of related ranks, 18 League 1 participating clubs and supporters representatives. From the meeting, Menpora Zainudin Amali alluded to the rights and obligations of supporters.

According to Amali, the rights and obligations of supporters regulated in Law (UU) Number 12 concerning Sporting have not been well socialized. Therefore, he wants supporters to understand this more proficiently as a provision.

"One important thing that has not been seriously touched so far is about supporters, it is also something we listen to," said Zainudin Amali during a press conference at the Wisma Kemenpora on Thursday, October 5.

This was discussed by Zainudin Amali because it relates to the Kanjuruhan Stadium Tragedy in Malang. According to him, the incident occurred due to the lack of socialization of rights and obligations of supporters.

Therefore, the Minister of Youth and Sports wants stakeholders and football fans to understand very well what is stated in the law.

"We know that supporters in Law Number 11 concerning sports have articles and there are rights and obligations, but they have not been well socialized to supporters," he added.

Furthermore, according to the Minister of Youth and Sports, the law can be a tool to eliminate excessive rivality of supporters. Zainudin Amali wants supporters to be committed to eliminating the tradition of inter-rival hostility.

"We don't want to put fans as consumers, they are a football ecosystem, we also urge them to avoid provocation narratives," he said.

"Even though it is a culture, from supporters and clubs, it is a trigger, if it is still there, then let me submit it to PSSI," he concluded.
