Telegram Boss Calls The IPhone 12 Pro's Design Looks Boring
JAKARTA - Telegram founder and CEO, Pavel Durov, said he was disappointed with the iPhone 12. He even criticized the new Apple device.
He conveyed this after buying the iPhone 12 Pro, shortly after it was launched some time ago. According to him, he hasn't used the new Apple device at all, because the iPhone 12's design is less attractive.
"Just tried the iPhone 12 Pro, what a clunky device. It looks and feels like an overly large version of the iPhone 5 from 2012, but with a poor array of cameras with different heights," he said as quoted by Gizchina, Tuesday, December 1st.
Durov explained that the iPhone 12 has an old design language, let alone a remade like the iPhone 5. Not only that, the notch and bezel design is still thick enough to make the screen ratio of the iPhone 12 and Apple devices seem obsolete.
Furthermore, Durov alluded to the lack of innovation made by Apple, after the departure of the late Steve Jobs 9 years ago. The lack of product innovation has also seen iPhone sales plummet in recent years.
"9 years after Steve Jobs died, this company is still living with the reputation and technology he built, without any meaningful innovation. It's no surprise that iPhone sales fell 21% earlier this year. If this trend continues, in 7 to 10 years, the global iPhone market share would be meaningless, "he explained.
Despite Durov's criticism, iPhon2 12 sales have not shown significant results. Some users who have bought the iPhone 12 series have also experienced some problems.
Starting from an unresponsive screen, DxOMark results from a yellowing iPhone 12 photo to the difficulty of users having to swipe the screen lock when using a screen protector. The complaint was found from the iPhone 12 Mini.
